Terms of Service

Yeittu is a social audio platform that allows users to create, share, and discover audio content. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Yeittu platform, including the mobile application, website, and all related services.

By accessing or using Yeittu, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the service.

01.Who Can Use Yeittu

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yeittu. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement, that you have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement, that the information you provide is accurate and complete, and that you will keep your login credentials secure.

If you register on behalf of an organisation, you warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

02.Your Account

To use certain features of Yeittu, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at info@yeittu.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use.

You may only hold one account at a time. Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban is a violation of these Terms.

03.The Yeittu Licence

Yeittu is a social audio platform that allows users to create, share, and discover audio content. We provide tools for recording, editing, and distributing audio posts, as well as features for social interaction and community building:

  • Create and share audio posts up to 3 minutes long
  • Discover content through trending topics and personalized recommendations
  • Follow other creators and build a listening network
  • Engage through replies, claps, and bookmarks

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Yeittu grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the platform, or reverse-engineer our software.

04.Content You Post

4.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you post on Yeittu, including your voice recordings, captions, and profile information.

4.2 The Licence You Grant Us

By posting content on Yeittu, you grant Yeittu Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, distribute, reproduce, display, and transcribe that content in connection with operating our services.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

05.Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive, that infringes on intellectual property rights, that contains hate speech, harassment, or sexually explicit material, or that is spam or misleading. More broadly, you must not use Yeittu to:

Post content that violates Community Guidelines
Harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person
Impersonate any person, organisation, or public figure
Post content that is fraudulent or misleading
Distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited messages
Interfere with or disrupt platform performance
Create accounts for the purpose of evading bans
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose under Nigerian law
Access the platform by automated means or scrape content
Circumvent security or access-control measures

06.Content Moderation and Enforcement

Yeittu reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that we determine violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We use both automated systems and human review where reasonably practicable.

You may appeal a moderation decision by contacting info@yeittu.com within 14 days. Serious or repeat violations may result in us suspending or terminating your account, in severe cases without prior notice.

07.Intellectual Property

The Yeittu platform, including its name, logo, design, code, features, and AI technology, is the intellectual property of Yeittu Limited.

You must not use our name, logo, or branding without our express written permission.

08.Third-Party Services

Yeittu may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.

09.Monetisation and Creator Earnings

We may offer features that allow creators to earn revenue on the platform. Any earnings are subject to the specific programme terms presented to you at the time, including eligibility, payout thresholds, and applicable taxes. We may change or discontinue monetisation features at any time.

10.Disclaimers

Yeittu is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

11.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yeittu Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform.

12.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yeittu Limited from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your content, your use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms.

13.Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your settings. Upon termination, your right to use Yeittu will immediately cease.

14.Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes, and your continued use of Yeittu constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

15.Governing Law and Disputes

Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation.

If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration in Abuja, Nigeria, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Nigeria.
