Child Safety Standards Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026Effective: August 29, 2026Jurisdiction: Nigeria (Federal Republic)

At Yeittu, we believe your voice is your identity, and your identity is yours to control. For our younger users, this protection is our highest mandate. This Child Safety Standards Policy explains how YEITTU LIMITED ("Yeittu", "we", or "our") monitors, protects, and safeguards minors on our voice-centric platform.

Emergency Reporting

Immediate danger concerns should be routed directly to emergency safety handlers.

Direct Response Team

01.Introduction

Yeittu is a voice-first social media platform designed specifically for the African context. We empower users to express themselves through voice notes, live audio rooms, and sonic storytelling.

Because voice data is inherently personal, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of data protection and physical safety for minors. This policy applies to all interactions across the mobile applications, web interfaces, and associated audio services under the Yeittu brand.

02.Our Commitment

YEITTU LIMITED maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the exploitation or endangerment of children. Our primary mission is to foster a community where minors are protected from harmful content, predatory behavior, and inappropriate interactions.

Encrypted Storage

All minor-related voice data is encrypted at rest and in transit with unique session keys.

Human Review

Algorithmic flags involving minors are routed to specialised safety moderators within 15 minutes.

03.Age Requirements

Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account on Yeittu. We implement strict age-verification mechanisms during the registration process, including phone-based OTP verification and AI-driven voice frequency analysis to detect under-age registrations.

Accounts found to be operated by individuals under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent will be terminated immediately, and all associated data will be purged within 24 hours of confirmation.

04.Prohibited Content

The following categories of content are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent banning and mandatory reporting to relevant authorities:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any imagery or audio depicting or promoting the exploitation of minors.
  • Grooming Behavior: Content that encourages or facilitates predatory behavior or inappropriate outreach to minors.
  • Harmful Challenges: Promotion of activities that encourage minors to self-harm or engage in life-threatening tasks.

05.Voice Content Safety

Yeittu utilizes "Sonic Sentinel" technology—an advanced audio-moderation layer that scans live rooms for keywords and acoustic patterns associated with bullying, sexual harassment, or harmful solicitation.

Automated Detection

"We utilize real-time spectrogram analysis to detect high-stress vocal patterns in minor-present rooms."

Content Masking

"Sensitive keywords are automatically muted in live transcriptions for users flagged as minors."

06.Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Any user who witnesses a violation of these safety standards can utilize the "Urgent Protection" flag available in every audio room and user profile.

Reports involving child safety bypass the general moderation queue and are delivered directly to our "Level 1 Rapid Response" terminal. We aim for a maximum 10-minute intervention window for active live-room reports.

07.Moderator Response Protocols

When a child safety report is received, our specialized team follows a "Protect First" protocol:

  1. 1Immediate Isolation: The reported account is temporarily restricted from interacting with any user under 18 while review is underway.
  2. 2Data Preservation: Relevant audio segments and logs are archived securely as potential evidence for law enforcement.
  3. 3Final Verdict: Senior Safety Leads verify the evidence and apply permanent sanctions or reinstatement.

08.Detection & Prevention

Our proactive safety engine works in the background to identify threats before they manifest. We collaborate with international safety organizations to keep our prohibited keyword databases and acoustic threat patterns updated daily.

"Prevention is the core of our technical architecture. 70% of harmful content is flagged by AI before a user report is ever generated."

Constant Monitoring

24/7/365

Active safety oversight for all minor-present channels.
